Fans of Star Wars all over the world are mourning the death of Carrie Fisher whom they’ve come to know and love as Princess Leia from that galaxy far, far away. Celebrities, too, are saddened by the death of the actress many considered a friend, and some have posted their sympathies online.

Comedian Steve Martin did, and he quickly felt the wrath of breaking the cardinal rule of feminism: NEVER compliment a woman’s beauty. He was called out by the liberal New York rag offshoot The Cut on Twitter, and he has since surrendered to the PC police and deleted his perfectly fine tribute:

The Cut called Martin’s tweet “extremely bad” and linked to an article that condemned noticing Fisher’s looks:

Writer Claire Landsbaum breathlessly complained how Princess Leia was a “nerd-boy sex object her whole life” thanks to her slave outfit in Return of the Jedi which became “a wet dream for prepubescent men.” And while that may be true for most “nerd boys,” many were also attracted to her tenacity and abilities with a blaster. Yet, it’s hard to glean such a juvenile sentiment from Martin’s tweet. But such is the logical leap of the social justice outrage mob.

“[R]emember Fisher for her immense talent, her outspoken feminism, and her moving commentary on mental health — not for the way she looked onscreen,” Landsbaum implored. Which is basically what Martin did, but he had to go and screw it all up and mention her attractiveness first. Typical man.

During the press tour for Star Wars VII: The Force Awakens, Fisher remarked, "I wish I had known I was a sex symbol. That’s so odd because I don’t look at myself even remotely that way.” But she had spoken against the objectivity in the past and advised actress Daisy Ridley, who played Rey in The Force Awakens, to "keep fighting against that slave outfit." Fisher also roasted George Lucas at an event many years back for instructing her during the filming of the original Star Wars movie, A New Hope, that there was no underwear in space and therefore she should go au naturale under her white princess cloak.

Last year, as TruthRevolt reported, Slave Leia dolls caused one dad to call for a ban at Target because he didn't want his daughters to see a scantily-clothed action figure for sale. Fisher responded to that non-controversy on Twitter by indicating it's a little too late to be outraged and besides, she used the shackles to her advantage and killed the crime lord Jabba the Hutt:
