On Tuesday's "Talking Points Memo," Bill O'Reilly took on the growing leftist culture of contempt for America.

Addressing the "mindless vandalism" that took place after basketball games at the University of Connecticut and the University of Kentucky, he said that while there was no "political component" to the violence, its cause was "a breakdown of respect for property" due to a mindset of "grievance and entitlement" being put forward by the left.

"The USA is now being portrayed by powerful people as an unfair country that oppresses minorities, women, the poor, and so on. That message is sinking in. Thus, disrespect is rising," O'Reilly said.

Responding to leftist comedian Stephen Colbert, O'Reilly said that Martin Luther King had fought for equality of opportunity, not government imposed equality.

"His dream was that human beings would be judged by the quality of their character. Something Mr. Colbert might want to think about as he deceives his audience."

Colbert, O'Reilly said, "Gives cover to powerful people who are selling Americans a big lie that this country is bad."
