While speaking at posh democrat fundraiser, President Obama mocked the GOP presidential candidates for complaining about lat week's CNBC debate.
"They say, 'When I talk to Putin, he's going to straighten out,' and then it turns out they can't handle a bunch of CNBC moderators," Obama told a fancy gathering at the Broadway show Hamilton, where the Democrats staged a $5,000-per-person fundraiser.
"If you can't handle those guys, I don't think the Chinese and the Russians are going to be too worried about you."
The President also mentioned how much he loved the show Hamilton. "It’s the only thing Dick Cheney and I agree on. You know when you’ve brought Barack Obama and Dick Cheney together, you've accomplished something.”
Celebrities at the democrat event were Chris Rock, Kerry Washington, Ethan Hawke, Edward Norton, Martin Scorsese and Scarlett Johansson.
Last week, CNBC hosted a presidential debate that was criticized by the candidates, the RNC and the audience who booed their questions throughout the evening. Some of the candidates met and put together a series of demands including "banning 'gotcha questions,' keeping the temperature on the stage below 67 degrees and allowing at least one bathroom break."
