Distributing gifts at the annual Marine Corps' Toys for Tots event Wednesday, President Obama gave himself a new moniker: "the big elf."

As he entered the room carrying a red velvet Santa bag, the president let out a jolly, "Ho, ho, ho." Also present was a less than enthusiastic Michelle Obama, who could only muster a courtesy laugh for her husband, whom she introduced as her "new helper."

Once at the podium to speak, Obama said, "I'm the big elf. I'm like Will Ferrell."

"I think I can do this," the president later said, as he helped sort and hand out the presents.
