Nice Moment: Officer Injured in GOP Attack Throws Out First Pitch


At the Congressional Baseball Game on Thursday, one of the officers who was injured protecting Republican congressmen from shooter James Hodgkinson threw out the first pitch.

The nice moment was captured on video and can be seen above via PBS News Hour.

Capitol Police Officer David Bailey approached the mound on crutches to thunderous applause of gratitude from the crowd. The other Capitol police officer involved, Crystal Griner, is still recovering in the hospital.
