Michele Bachmann Announces Rally at Capitol to Stop Executive Amnesty

On Friday, TruthRevolt founder Ben Shapiro interviewed outgoing congresswoman Michele Bachmann about Obama's sweeping executive amnesty to over 5 million illegal immigrants, offering Americans a "plan of resistance."

"Not all of congress is rolling over on the President's illegal executive amnesty," Bachmann said. "We're pushing back, we're fighting."

According to Bachmann, the Republicans must vote to defund Obama's executive amnesty and she proposes that people get involved to pressure congress into doing so.

On Wednesday, December 3, at high-noon, people from all over the United States are invited to join Michele Bachmann and several other opponents of Obama's executive amnesty on the west steps of the Capitol to "register what you believe about President Obama and his illegal executive amnesty."

Bachmann strongly emphasized that people's efforts will make a difference in the matter and those in Congress will feel the heat.

"If you show up, you'll make a difference," said Bachmann. "This was very effective with Obamacare, and this will be effective again with this issue."

No tickets are necessary. People can just show up. For those who can't make it, Bachmann welcomed them to "melt the phone" at the office of their respective representative from Dec. 1 through Dec. 11.

In terms of particular procedures, Bachmann said the current plan to defund Obama's executive amnesty will be to essentially fund the entire government in an omnibus bill through next September except the work permits for illegal immigrants. Bachmann emphasized that withholding funding from those work permits must take place now or else congress will be stuck funding them forever.

Asked why House Speaker John Boehner appears to be cowering back by giving Obama omnibus bills rather than funding the government piecemeal, Bachmann said that Boehner and dozens of other establishment types just don't want to "put on the boxing gloves" and fight.

"Republicans don't want to put on the boxing gloves and duke it out with the left," she said. "The left is always willing to fight in one way or another -- cheat, borrow, steal -- whatever they have to do, but Republicans like to put on white gloves and have an Oxford debating society."

"You're never, ever going to win if you don't fight," she continued. "You have to fight. These are totalitarians on the left. These are hardcore leftists. This is a leftist craven action that the President took last night and he has to be pushed back."

Bachmann reminded listeners that Americans will not be the only ones affected by Obama's executive amnesty, but legal Hispanic immigrants as well.

"The influence that this is having on their [Hispanics] lives is not for the better," she said. "They're not safe in their homes, it's a violent area."

The congresswoman then gave a frightening account of her most recent experience at the southern border where she saw vehicles belonging to cartels traffic humans and drugs across the border with virtually no opposition.

"We've seen it with our own eyes," she said. "I've got video tape of the criminal cartels bringing people and drugs across, and we have got to stop it."

All are welcome to attend the rally on December 3 at high noon on the west steps of the Capitol.
