Calling "resilience" and "unity" characteristics the Clintons posses, Matthews touted their "deep strength of character" and practically endorsed Hillary Clinton for president 2016. Matthews took issue with Sen. Rand Paul's comments about the political power couple during an interview on NBC's Meet the Press Sunday. 

During Monday's "Let Me Finish" segment Matthews sang the praises of both former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

Through it all they have stuck together, they are better than winners! They possess the deep strength of character to face defeat, failure and even humiliation and come back fighting strong. That may be the very ticket this country needs right now to regain its own fighting spirit. 

By calling Bill and Hillary a "ticket" Matthews appears to be insinuating that the two come as a political package.
