Lunatic: This Tough New Rubio Ad Begins Airing In NH Today

"The world is a safer place when America is the strongest country on earth."

This morning, the Marco Rubio campaign released a new ad titled "Lunatic" that focuses on threats our nation faces in the world and who will be best equipped to deal with them. The ad will begin airing in New Hampshire Wednesday and in other states soon.

"Today we face ever-growing threats: Radical Islamic terror, a lunatic in North Korea, a gangster in Moscow, and a President more respectful to the Ayatollah of Iran than the Prime Minister of Israel. Our allies don't trust us. Our enemies don't fear us. And the world doesn't know where America stands. On day one of my presidency, that will change."

That's not just political talk, it's what the youngsters refer to as "real talk" about where we stand. "Our enemies don't fear us." That's a hard truth.

Rubio hits every top foreign policy concern of your average Republican primary voter. These are the issues that Trump and Cruz supporters alike discuss every day on social media and in blogs. Rubio concludes strongly:

"The world is a safer place when America is the strongest country on Earth."

This is another top-level message for the voters who have been driving the poll numbers for the top tier. It is often said that the biggest sign of weakness in American politics is an inability to name the enemy for what it is. In this one spot, Rubio names each one and in a way that will certainly appeal to New Hampshire's Republican primary voters. It also has the added benefit that it will certainly draw criticism from democrats and the MSM, two fights that always end in favor of the (R) in the eyes of the base.

A very smart ad, and one that is truthful about the legitimate threats America faces and Democrats fear to name.
