Leno Returns with a Vengeance in Fallon's 'House of Cue Cards' Parody

“Remind me to send him a thank you note.”

Spoiler alert.

Tuesday night, Jimmy Fallon aired a lengthy parody of Netflix’s House of Cards. Adopting a deliberately unconvincing southern accent, Fallon took on the role of Frank Underwood while Ellen Barkin played Claire. The end was the most noteworthy moment, getting a big reaction from the shocked audience.

After a series of cryptic text messages, Fallon finally encounters the mysterious source of the texts, who promptly tosses him in front of an oncoming subway car. His killer: Fallon’s predecessor, Jay Leno, whose break up with the network was marked by controversy.

The sketch ends with Leno taking off his hat and saying, “Remind me to send him a thank you note.”

The first segment of the sketch is above, the second below.
