When she's not rewording divorce with euphemisms like "conscious uncoupling," actress Gwyneth Paltrow -- a liberal who is more out-of-touch with the average American woman than Hillary Clinton -- seeks to liberate her female readers with "orgasm equality."
Her March 23rd second annual "sex edition" of her super-upscale lifestyle mag Goop has enough debauchery in it to last a decadent lifetime, covering a wide range of vital topics like "The Thrill of Dating in Your 40s – And Beyond," which probably neglects to address the many lonely nights a promiscuous, single 40-something will spend in her apartment with only a chilled glass of Chardonnay as her companion.
Others get more to the point, like "How to Have (Good) Casual Sex" until you wind up single at age 40 and then have to refer to the article above.
Some sections even got philosophical, with deep moral questions like "Can Porn Be Ethical?" The answer, in case you couldn't guess where Gwyneth is going with it, is that porn is "just another facet of human sexual expression" that has mistakenly been categorized as "the sexist, erection-deflating, marriage-wrecking, impossible-body-standard-generating scourge that many of us believe it to be." What a relief!
And what about anal sex? Inquiring minds want to know! Paltrow's got all the goods on that subject, complete with a Q&A with research psychoanalyst and author Paul Joannides, PsyD, about its many health and safety risks.
“If it doesn’t feel good when it’s happening, stop,” he warns. We didn't think it took an expert to come to that conclusion, but hey, it's always good to get confirmation from Gwyneth's magazine.
On the technical side, women are invited to buy personalized "sex toys for every type" of lover, which includes "the techy," the "mistress-in-training," and the "DIY-er."
