Film Director Thinks ISIS Needs Love Not Bombs, Fundraiser Set Up to Send Him to ‘Hug It Out’

Progressive brilliance.

Like any woke liberal, anti-fracking documentarian Josh Fox (Gasland I and II) believes love trumps hate and feels that if the U.S. showed a little more kindness to groups like ISIS instead of dropping bombs on them, we could all live together in harmony.

So, to help him “put his hugging arms where his mouth is,” pro-fracking documentarian Phelim McAleer (Fracknation) is hoping to raise $2,500 to send Fox to “hug it out” with ISIS!

He explains via his Generosity.com campaign:

As journalists, our job is to call out those who demand others to do things they wouldn't do themselves.

For the last several years we've been keeping tabs on Josh Fox, the godfather of the anti-fracking movement and the director of Gasland I and II.

And he just came out with an extraordinary claim that giving love to the Islamic State instead of sending bombs is a much better approach.

So we're going to give him a chance to do just that. Today we're launching a $2,500 fundraiser to send Josh Fox to 'hug it out' with ISIS.

After our military dropped the literal Mother of All Bombs on an ISIS compound in Afghanistan last week, Fox hurried to Twitter to share his grievances about war and President Trump:

“The fundraiser will pay for Fox's airfare to Afghanistan, 2 nights in a hotel and a dozen roses so Fox can show ISIS how much he really loves them,” McAleer writes. “If Fox refuses to go and turns out to be the hypocritical coward we believe him to be, then we'll donate all the funds raised to the Wounded Warrior Project.”

“Fox has shown no indication of principles or spine in the past. He has literally run away from journalists asking tough questions, stormed out of interviews that didn't pat him on the back, and, most notably, lied about a connection between breast cancer and fracking.

“It's time for Josh Fox to put his hugging arms where his mouth is. Please help us raise $2,500 to send Fox to Afghanistan to hug it out with ISIS.”
