The election of Donald Trump has pushed fashion industry public relations firm LaForce to cancel its annual Christmas party in New York City.
According to Women’s Wear Daily, firm chief James LaForce and his husband Stephen Henderson canceled their annual Christmas party on December 19 at Manhattan’s Irving Plaza, all thanks to President-elect Trump.
"We envisioned an extra-cheerful celebration of Hillary Clinton’s presidency," the letter to invitees reads. "Alas, Election Day did not go as we’d hoped. So it’s with deep regret that we are canceling this year’s party."
"As Hillary said in her concession speech: ‘Let us have faith in each other. Let us not grow weary, let us not lose heart, for there are more seasons to come,'" the letter concluded, promising more parties in the future.
In their original invitations, printed prior to Election Day, LaForce featured a "caricature of Clinton wearing a red Santa hat and captioned with the words, 'Make America Merry Again," reports Breitbart. Guests were also asked to come dressed "patridiotically."
PR firm LaForce includes such notable clients as Target, Banana Republic, Swarovski and Perry Ellis. They will donate the money that would otherwise have been spent on the party to abortion conglomerate Planned Parenthood, Housing Works and the Stonewall Foundation.
The rest of us will go on to enjoy our Christmas as we await for Trump to "Make a America Great Again," maybe even Merry too.
