One of the most far-left members of the Senate has finally decided to endorse Hillary Clinton as the Democratic nominee. Elizabeth Warren, the woman many hoped would be the ultra-progressive flagbearer for the Democrats, decided to announce her support for Hillary the day after the California primary and after President Barack Obama had already done likewise.

Warren made the announcement on the far-left Rachel Maddow Show on MSNBC.

"I'm ready. I am ready to get in this fight and work my heart out for Hillary Clinton to become the next president of the United States — and to make sure that Donald Trump never gets anyplace close to the White House," Warren said.  

Warren said that if asked she would consider being a vice-presidential candidate for Clinton. Warren, seen by many as being closer to the Sanders camp, has been spending time lately attacking Trump, whom she attacked on Maddow's show as, "an insecure money grubber."

 "I take my cue on every part of this from Bernie himself and what he said right at the beginning … What this is about, what we're doing here, is about millions of people across this country, millions of people who work hard every day and just keep getting slammed," she said.

"It is not about one candidate. It's not even about one election. It's about all of us coming together to help fight, to level the playing field to make sure that everybody gets a fighting chance," Warren said.

Warren was once considered a presidential contender but like Joe Biden opted to sit the race out thinking they could not take on Clinton, something Bernie Sanders proved could be done.
