On Sunday, September 21, the Oklahoma City satanists calling themselves the Dakhma Angra Mainyu will be hosting a black mass in the basement of the city's civic center, which has made the city's Catholic archdiocese a bit uneasy and even scared.
The public black mass has already sold out all 88 tickets for attendance and will feature a desecration of the Holy Eucharist, which Catholics believe to be the literal body of Christ, and an exorcism of the Holy Spirit. The group's decision to desecrate the Eucharist has been met with severe outcry from the city's archdiocese, claiming they stole the Holy Host by way of stealth. The Church has filed a lawsuit as a result. The group has since returned the consecrated host back to Archbishop Coakley. In compliance with local laws, the naked female "altar" will be replaced with lingerie and vinegar will be used in place of urine.
As Breitbart News reported, Monsignor Patrick Brankin, official exorcist for the diocese, expressed serious misgivings about the mass. Speaking to the Catholic website Aleteia, Brankin stated:
I am profoundly relieved that this group has returned to Archbishop Coakley the Consecrated Host which they intended to desecrate, but am still concerned that they have not backed away from all the other blasphemies and sacrileges involved in this ritual worship of Satan.
I would think that there would be a real strong possibility, especially in the state of sin, that they would walk out possessed. They're going into a situation where people are calling upon Satan to exercise dominion over everything in the state--dominion over people, places, our very land.
They promise to do an exorcism of the Christians there, which, in their own foolish talk, involves puling out of the Holy Spirit. If someone went there out of curiosity, especially if there was a possibility that they were not in the state of grace, they could easily come out with a demonic attachment, whether it would be an oppression, obsession or a full possession.
Speaking also to Aleteia, another exorcist wishing to remain anonymous recommended Oklahoma City Catholics take their cue from Harvard Catholics, who faced a similar problem back in May. When satanists there performed a black mass off campus in a local Chinese restaurant, Catholics at St. Paul Church organized a Eucharistic Procession (adoration and reverence of the Eucharistic host) and a packed prayer service.
"The answer is to do what folks did in Boston. Catholics must organize Eucharistic processions and holy hours; they must fast and pray fervently for the cancellation of this event," said the exorcist. "We must petition our Lord, His Mother and all the angels and saints in this fierce battle against the powers of hell. To fail to fight this evil is to abandon souls to hell."
The Oklahoma City archdiocese will be doing exactly that, having scheduled an outdoor Eucharistic procession and a prayer vigil from 3-5 pm. Though the archdiocese urged local lawmakers to bar the black mass from taking place, city officials have made it clear that won't be happening since it would violate the first amendment.
