A frequent guest and sports journalist, Bomani Jones appeared on the ESPN network's Mike & Mike show wearing a controversial shirt:
The shirt he wore, which has been around for nearly a decade, is a parody on the classic Cleveland Indians logo, but instead of “Indians,” the shirt says “Caucasians” and the Chief Wahoo character is edited to have white skin and a dollar sign instead of a feather.
Jones takes offense at the Cleveland Indians' logo and used his appearance on the show to make a point.
“As the show progressed, we felt Bomani had made his point and had openly discussed why he was wearing the shirt, and we wanted to keep the focus to the topics of the day,” a spokesperson for ESPN told TMZ.
People went on Twitter to share their support for or opposition to Jones' shirt. Jones responded on Twitter and also appeared on another ESPN show, Molly's Take to explain why he wore the shirt.

Asked why he wore the shirt, Jones said “the fact that it was clean was a good start” and he “thinks it’s funny.”
“The statement is obvious,” he told Qerim. “This is the same thing — what we have here is the same thing that goes on with the logo for the Cleveland Indians, right, so to have a problem with the logo of this, would be to have a problem with the Indians.”
“But if you’re quiet about the Indians, but now you’ve got something to say about my shirt,” he continued, “then it’s time for introspection.”
