Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood heaped praise on Presidential candidate Donald Trump for going up against political correctness, combating what he characterized as the "p–ssy generation."
"He’s onto something, because secretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up," Clint Eastwood told Esquire. "That’s the kiss-ass generation we’re in right now. We’re really in a pussy generation. Everybody’s walking on eggshells."
Though Eastwood doesn't fully endorse Donald Trump for President and even believes that some of his comments have been "stupid" and disagreeable, he did feel that many in the media have overreacted to some of his comments as a means of thought censorship.
"He’s said a lot of dumb things. So have all of them. Both sides," he said "But everybody —the press and everybody’s going, ‘Oh, well, that’s racist,’ and they’re making a big hoodoo out of it. Just fucking get over it. It’s a sad time in history."
"He’s just saying what’s on his mind and sometimes it’s not so good. And sometimes it’s … I mean, I can understand where he’s coming from, but I don’t always agree with it."
Ultimately, Eastwood did come down on the side of Trump when given the choice between him and Clinton.
"I’d have to go for Trump … you know, ’cause she’s declared that she’s gonna follow in Obama’s footsteps," he said before going on to say that Hillary would be "a tough voice to listen to for four years."
The Freedom Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Therefore we do not endorse political candidates either in primary or general elections. However, as defenders of America’s social contract, we insist that the rules laid down by both parties at the outset of campaigns be respected, and that the results be decided by free elections. We will oppose any attempt to rig the system and deny voters of either party their constitutional right to elect candidates of their choice.
