Duke University Offering Workshop on How to Resist Trump

Of COURSE it’s sponsored by the Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist studies program.

On February 15, Duke University is sponsoring a workshop to help train students on resisting President Trump’s agenda.

The event will be put on by none other than the school’s Program in Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies. Leading the event “Ideas for Activism in the Time of Trump” will be LGBTQA activist Mandy Carter, according to The Daily Caller.

There are two points the workshop will focus on: “Understanding the importance of the changing of hearts and minds and the changing of public policy in social justice movements,” and “How our North Carolina Moral Monday Movement can be a model of a diverse coalition that brings together social justice people to take a stand against the Trump Administration.”

The video above is a “recommended resource” to prepare for the class. In it, you’re told “smart people who really know politics” put together a practical guide to get Congress to listen to liberals. Then the instructions include starting a “group” to “target” senators and representatives to tell them they are on the “wrong” side of an issue, or to thank them for being on the “right” side.

“A real resistance movement is a marathon, not a sprint,” the video states, and it’s a “movement that will win.”

As The DC noted, other schools have engaged in similar tactics, including the University of New Hampshire which had to apologize for using official resources while promoting anti-Trump events.

Gear up for the worst four years of social justice warrior-ing you could ever imagine.
