Donut Shop Closes Near U of Mizzou, Blames Snowflake Culture for Running Off Customers

And boy, did that offend them!

A donut shop near the campus of the University of Missouri has closed its doors due to poor sales, and the owner blames the snowflake culture for running off potential customers.

As a joke, the owner of Strange Donuts, Jason Bockman, posted a goodbye message on Facebook which featured the image of disgraced former journalism professor Melissa Click — the woman who called for “muscle” to remove a student reporter who was exercising his First Amendment rights.

Bockman claimed that his donut shop was devoid of customers because enrollment at Mizzou is down because of the hysterical social justice protests that made Click a household name:

The post has since been deleted because those same snowflakes were offended:

After the backlash, Bockman, who runs other restaurants in St. Louis, decided his other businesses could be boycotted if he didn’t produce an apology, which he did:

As Fox News reported, Mizzou reported an 8% drop in enrollment, mostly incoming freshmen, for its 2016 fall semester which forced the university to cut the budget and put freezes on salaries and hires. It was the institution’s smallest class in almost a decade.

“We do know that the events of last fall have had an effect on our application numbers" said a university spokesman at that time.

Though it’s unclear if a drop in enrolled students truly effected sales at Strange Donuts, Brockman certainly learned one thing: snowflakes can't take a joke.
