On Wednesday, rivals Donald Trump and Megyn Kelly held a meeting at Trump Towers for what could be a one-on-one interview on Fox News. 

Both Trump and Kelly have been major enemies this election year, a rivalry that has been the subject of much controversy, especially for Donald Trump. 

It all began at the first Republican debate last summer when Kelly asked Trump to explain his past derogatory remarks against women. Trump immediately took Kelly's questioning as an unfair attack on his character and has been in an all-out social media war ever since. 

Since news of the meeting Wednesday broke out on social media, many have wondered if the two heavyweights were trying to reconcile in any way or perhaps setting up an interview on her Fox News show. 

Whatever the reason, Fox News provided some interesting hints in a statement made to reporters. 

"Kelly has acknowledged in recent interviews that Trump is a fascinating person to cover and has electrified the Republican base," said the statement, which went on to explain that Kelly will actually address the details of that meeting on her program this evening.

According to Fox, Megyn Kelly set up the meeting with Trump's office.
