De Niro Plays ‘Monstrous’ Bernie Madoff, ‘But Trump’ is Worse

Bob has spent too much time in fantasy land.

Perhaps Robert De Niro has spent too much time playing pretend because he’s very confused when it comes to reality.

The once-legendary actor has been promoting his HBO movie The Wizard of Lies, about convicted Wall Street ponzi schemer Bernie Madoff — the Democrat donor who swindled $65 billion from wealthy investors, including specific targets in the American Jewish community which forced losses in the millions for Jewish hospitals and forcing some Jewish organizations to close. It’s a crime for which the 79-year-old fraud is serving 150 years in prison.

But as bad of a guy as Madoff is, De Niro appears to have a lower opinion of President Trump as evidenced by what he said in USA Today:

“What amazes me is that (Donald Trump is) such a bad con artist. Bernie Madoff was a guy who was low-key. I make no excuse for him: what he did was horrible and awful; monstrous. But Trump is in your face every day doing something that is absolutely — what word can I use? He’s just a slob. He’s a pig.”

Wow. There's not much to say after that, except for maybe this perfectly summed up A.F. Branco cartoon:
