Boehner Accidentally Campaigns For Cruz

Thanks, Mr. Speaker!

On Wednesday, Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner was speaking at a fundraiser in Colorado and apparently feeling salty as he told the donors and guests that Senator Ted Cruz is a "jackass." Which is, in terms of the base and the activists and the primary voters, practically an endorsement.

In fact, he didn't merely call Cruz a jackass; according to the Daily Caller, Boehner said that he was happy that the presidential campaign keeps "that jackass" out of Washington!

Establishment poster-boy John Boehner literally just said that the establishment wants to keep Ted Cruz out of Washington.

If there is a stronger endorsement out there about Ted Cruz's entire message, his very raison d’être, it has not been found and made public. There is little doubt that this can be used to great fundraising effect by the Cruz campaign. The copy writes itself: "If the Republican establishment doesn't want Ted Cruz in Washington, shouldn't you?"

Couldn't be easier. Perhaps in a few weeks the campaign will release numbers from a Boehner bump. There's bound to be one.
