Black Scientist from D.C. Crowned Miss USA, Social Justice Warriors Triggered

She was out of step with the talking points they expected someone of her color and gender to give.

When Miss District of Columbia Kara McCullough earned the Miss USA crown in Las Vegas on Sunday evening, social justice warriors all over the country were triggered and ran straight to Twitter to complain.

You see, McCullough is a beautiful young black woman who works as a scientist for the federal government. Typically, that is résumé enough to be inducted into the leftist hall of fame. But there was one problem: the 25-year-old U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission employee didn’t provide the lock, stock, and barrel talking points on feminism and healthcare that someone of her skin tone and gender was expected to. And so, they turned on her like a pack of rabid dogs.

“A brown girl won #MissUSA but she thinks affordable healthcare is a privilege and feminism is man-hate so she's cancelled. #ByeGirl,” one angry liberal wrote on Twitter.

“It's incredibly sad that in 2017, a woman is striving to occupy a position of influence w/ no understanding of what feminism is,” another stated.

Here are a few more:

“Huge fan of #MissUSA being a black woman and a scientist and advocate for science education, but dang she could use a class on social issues.”

“What. Noooooo. This is the first #MissUSA I don't approve of. Her answers showed she is uneducated on women's & health care issues.”

“Jersey was ROBBED! I was on board with D.C. until she gave that sad, uneducated answer on healthcare. Nope!!”

When McCullough was asked if she considered healthcare a right or privilege for U.S. citizens, she responded:

“I’m definitely going to say it’s a privilege. As a government employee, I am granted healthcare. And I see first hand that for one, to have healthcare, you need to have jobs. So, therefore, we need to continue to cultivate this environment that we’re given the opportunity to have healthcare as well as jobs to all American citizens worldwide.”

When asked to define feminism and whether or not she identifies as such, McCullogh said:

“So, as a woman scientist in the government, I like to transpose the word ‘feminism’ to ‘equalism.’ I don’t really want to consider myself — I try not to consider myself like this die-hard — like, you know, ‘Oh, I don’t really care about men.’ But one thing I’m going to say is, though: Women, we are just as equal as men when it comes to opportunity in the workplace. And I say first hand, I’ve witnessed the impact that women have in leadership in the medical sciences, as well as in the office environment. So, as Miss USA, I would hope to promote that type of leadership responsibility globally to so many women worldwide.”

It was clear by the audience’s reaction that they were all for her message. But crybaby liberals online saw only one thing: a traitor.
