Bing, Window's alternative to Google, released a new ad they say is a celebration of women in 2013.

The piece featured liberal congresswoman and gun control advocate Gabrielle Giffords, Obama confirmed Fed Chairman Janet Yellen, and homosexual advocate Edith Windsor. Bing states on their "Heroic Women of 2013" page,

We sought out women who spoke out, stood up, led, persevered and fought their way through adversity and challenge to come through the other side triumphant. Some of these women are well known, others less so but equally impactful in their own way. We honor these women and those like them and hope their stories inspire us all in 2014.

The ad also featured former conservative Prime Minister of Great Britain, Margaret Thatcher and some less political women. Adrienne Haslet-Davis, a dancer who lost her leg after the horrific Boston Marathon bombing, and Deb Cohan, a woman about to undergo a double mastectomy who created a viral video of herself dancing before her life-changing operation. Bing also chose Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel as one of their ten heroic women of 2013.

The "glass ceiling" reference even has Time Magazine asking if Microsoft is using this new spot to campaign for Hillary Clinton in 2016.
