The BBC has been called out for censoring its televised report on the 30-year-old nursery worker who was stabbed in the name of Allah by a Muslim gang of women on her way to work.
Each time the owner of the child care center, Karrien Stevens, was interviewed after the attack, she never failed to mention that her employee’s assailants were chanting from the Koran and repeating “Allah, Allah.” But in a clip aired on the BBC, there is an obvious cut during Stevens remark which seemingly cut out her references to Islam.
Meanwhile, the story running on the BBC’s website does mention what the attackers, who were “dressed in black,” were shouting before cutting the victim from her wrist to her elbow and notes that the incident is being investigated as a hate crime.
BBC employee Daniel Sandford was confronted on Twitter about the edit and defended the network: “As I explained yesterday, we actually check stories before we publish. Sorry the facts as we can establish them don’t fit your narrative.”
Sandford later added, “It is also a fact that when we checked this with police - who have interviewed actual witnesses - they cautioned against that version.”
Except the BBC did report “that version," at least, online. And note that the police did not dispute that version -- they simply "cautioned against" it, because it does not fit the BBC's narrative.

But is this really all that surprising coming from the BBC? After all, this is the same network that neglected to mention Islam in its drama about girls trafficked by Muslim rape gangs. It’s the same network that calls critics of sharia law Islamophobic. And it’s the network that promoted a Muslim woman, replacing a Muslim man, to its head of religious programming despite her producing a reality show featuring an ISIS sympathizer. These questionable choices have some predicting a future where the BBC will televise the Muslim call to pray every weekend.
