MSNBC’s resident political hack Chris Matthews continues the comparisons between the Trumps and the worst people in the world, backing it up with nothing but his intense hatred of the first family.
On Thursday evening’s Hardball, Matthews was quite giddy and laughed his way through his latest personal fantasy that President Trump is “really like Kim Jong-un” for the reason that they both love parades.
Matthews, who has seemingly lost his mind, was primed by his panelist from The New York Times, Michael Schmidt, who just did an extensive interview with the president. Trump had told the NYT that he was very happy with his recent trip abroad and was pleased that even his enemies described his speech in Poland as “the greatest speech ever made on foreign soil by a president.”
Schmidt told Matthews, “Well, he seems to derive a lot of strength from these trips abroad. The trip to Saudi Arabia where they certainly treated him like a king and they really played to the things that he likes. He really likes the pomp. He likes the military aspect of these things. He loved the parade in France.”
“He loves the parades,” Matthews said with a wide grin.
“He wants to do one here,” Schmidt added.
Matthews then decided because of Trump’s desire to do a parade he’s childish and ultimately no different than a vicious dictator who would love nothing more than to nuke the U.S.A.:
“He wants to have a Bastille-type parade in D.C., I guess on Pennsylvania Avenue. This is his dream. He’s like an 8-year-old! What do we make of that? ‘I want big parade.’ You know, this is really like Kim Jong-un, too.”
And that wasn’t the only dictator Matthews sees in Trump. In the same program, he also blurted out a comparison to former Ugandan President Idi Amin, the Islamic ethnic cleanser responsible for the deaths of potentially hundreds of thousands of people. The same Amin who admitted to tasting human flesh. Meanwhile, Trump is the dastardly one for putting ketchup on his filet mignon!
Besides these latest comparisons, Matthews has previously compared Trump’s inaugural speech as being “Hitlerian,” accused the Trump family of being just like the Russian Romanov Dynasty, and Ivanka and husband Jared Kushner as in league with Saddam Hussein’s murderous, rapist sons. Given this and the fact the Matthews suggested Trump execute his son-in-law a lá Benito Mussolini, one wonders how he is still receiving paychecks from MSNBC.
