White House chief strategist Steve Bannon spoke at CPAC Thursday and noted that the mainstream media got everything about Donald Trump, both before and after the election, "dead wrong."
Mediaite reports that Bannon, speaking alongside White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus, called the mainstream media the “opposition party” and claimed they don’t know how to report on President Trump.
“This is the other thing that the mainstream media or opposition party never caught is that if you want to see the Trump agenda it’s very simple,” Bannon stated. “It was all in the speeches.”
He also declared that the media won’t report on what’s really going on with the Trump Administration and the President's campaign promises.
“That’s what the mainstream media won’t report. Just like they were dead wrong on the chaos of the campaign, and just like they were dead wrong on chaos of the transition, they are absolutely dead wrong on what’s going on today,” he said.
Bannon added, “President Trump is following through on what he promised the American people, and the mainstream media better understand something — all of those promises are going to be implemented.”
Bannon's comments were frequently greeted with cheers from the audience. Check out the short clip above.
