Planned Parenthood performs more than 300,000 abortions each year but exactly zero mammograms. That's not a new conservative talking point attacking America's largest abortion provider; that is the word of Planned Parenthood's own CEO as she appeared before Congress.

When New York Democrat Carolyn Maloney raised the issue of mammograms, a regular liberal talking point to bolster claims that Planned Parenthood is about women's health, the claim was shot down by PP CEO Cecile Richards. Maloney cited mammograms as one of the many "life-saving services provided by Planned Parenthood." Then Republican Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming asked how many Planned Parenthood clinics have mammogram machines.

"There aren't any Planned Parenthood clinics, I believe," Richards said. "To the best of my knowledge, not any have mammogram machines at their facilities."

Planned Parenthood has been under fire for the past couple of months after a series of videos were released showing senior people in the organization speaking coldly and callously about selling the body parts of aborted babies. There have been calls for the federal government to stop funding the organization. Those calls have been met with claims that Planned Parenthood does much more for women than provide abortions.

While other services may be offered, mammograms can be officially struck from the list.
