TruthRevolt Writer/Filmmaker Confronts Radical Feminism in Medieval Horror Movie

"There is need for a Crusade of manliness and purity to nullify the savage work of those who think man is a beast.” St. Josémaria Escriva.

At TruthRevolt we understand that politics flows downstream from culture, and that if conservatives don't actively engage in battle on the culture front, we will lose on the political front as well.

TruthRevolt writer and filmmaker Paul Roland Bois is doing just that with a unique, exciting film project called THE BOUND.

From the project's press release:

The horrifying consequences of a culture that engages in a full-blown assault on masculinity lies at the heart of THE BOUND – a new action/horror short film by writer and director Paul Roland Bois.

Combining the spiritual warfare of The Exorcist, the biological horror of Alien, and the medieval romanticism of Braveheart, THE BOUND tells the story of a veteran Knight and his precocious Squire, who, while traveling on a pilgrimage to Rome, suddenly find themselves waging spiritual and terrestrial warfare against a malevolent demoness dwelling in the woodlands of medieval France.

Having worked as a staff writer at TruthRevolt since 2013, filmmaker Paul Roland Bois has shone many a spotlight on the writings of modern misandrists masquerading under the label “feminist,” exposing them as some of the most misanthropic, mean-spirited, wicked pieces of prose out there in the mainstream media.

“I do not refer to these women as ‘feminists,’ because they hate all things feminine,” says Bois. “They sneer at motherhood, resent beauty, eschew chastity, and spit on modesty. They are akin to a school girl cackling in amusement while kicking a boy in the groin.”

Whether it’s Hanna Rosin proudly exclaiming that “men are obsolete” or Amanda Marcotte referring to babies as “time sucking monsters” or Mary Daly calling for a “castration” of God or Sarah Silverman calling unborn babies mere “goo," Bois has highlighted themes of jealousy and misandry throughout their writings.

Inspired by books like Suzanne Venker’s The War on Men and Dr. Helen Smith’s Men on Strike, Bois conceived THE BOUND as a war cry for men to stand up against these radical “feminists”, making it an intentional "medieval-modern tale" where the ultimate symbol of masculinity – the chivalrous Knight – faces off against an out-of-control misandrist.

Bois elaborates on the film's theme at the project’s Indiegogo crowdfunding page:

We live in an era where all notions of masculinity have been roundly condemned by cultural elites. Concepts of chivalry, heroism, self-sacrifice, nobility, fatherhood, and good vs. evil are all locked in a cage. Men just can't be men anymore. The horrifying consequences of a culture that engages in a full-blown assault on masculinity lies at the heart of THE BOUND.

THE BOUND is a short adaptation of a full-length feature film, and the Indiegogo campaign has only one goal: create a powerful short film, excite audiences, and then immediately use that momentum to push the feature film. The goal has been set to $30,000, with the campaign concluding around March 2nd of this year.
