On The O'Reilly Factor Tuesday, Donald Trump laid the blame for the Syrian refugee crisis at the feet of President Obama, who, he argued, failed to act with strength when he should have. 

"This was started by President Obama when he didn't go in and do the job he should have when he drew the line in the sand, which turned out to be a very artificial line," Trump told host Bill O'Reilly.

Trump expressed unease about taking the asylum-seekers into the United States, questioning "where all these people are coming from exactly, and what they’re representing."

"Do you have people from ISIS in that group?" he asked. "There’s a lot of security risk with it."

Despite Trump's controversial "hardline" stance against illegal immigration in America, he suggested that the magnitude of the "unbelievable humanitarian problem" required the U.S. to respond. Though there were certainly risks, "something has to be done," he said. 

"I hate the concept of it, but on a humanitarian basis, with what's happening you have to," he said, adding later, ""But you know, it's living in hell in Syria. There's no question about it. They're living in hell, and something has to be done."
