Trump Ad Hits Hillary On 'Deplorables' Comment

"You know what’s deplorable?"

Capitalizing on Hillary Clinton calling half his supporters a "basket of deplorables," GOP candidate Donald Trump has a new ad slamming his opponent for her grossly "deplorable" generalization.

The new 30-second TV spot began circulating via email Monday and will run in the battleground states of Ohio, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Florida.

"Speaking to wealthy donors, Hillary Clinton called tens of millions of Americans 'deplorable,'" the spot begins before showing Hillary labeling Trump's supporters with all the disparaging adjectives employed by the left against conservatives: xenophobic, homophobic, racist, etc.

"People like you, you and you, deplorable," continued the spot as it cut to shots of various Trump supporters at rallies, usually working-class folk carrying signs that read "Veterans for Trump," "Latinos for Trump," and "Blue Lives Matter."

"You know what’s deplorable? Hillary Clinton viciously demonizing hard-working people like you," the spot concludes, and we concur.

A statement released by the Trump campaign, characterized the ad as a response to Hillary's insult to millions of Americans:

[The ad is] a response to the incredibly offensive comments Hillary Clinton made last Friday in front of reporters and her wealthy donor friends, and serves as a call to action for the tens of millions of hard-working Americans she viciously demonized - to stand united against the Clinton-led rigged Washington system.

Politico reports that battleground states account for most of the Trump campaign advertising dollars so far.

"Since going on the air in mid-August," the outlet reports, " Trump has spent nearly two-thirds of his overall advertising dollars in Florida ($3.7 million), North Carolina ($1.8 million), Ohio ($1.9 million) and Pennsylvania ($2 million)."
