Appearing on The Kelly File Tuesday night, Ann Coulter called for a 10-year moratorium on immigration, period.
Promoting her new book Adios America!, Coulter said it is ridiculous to call her a bigot for using terms such as "the browning of America":
That isn't my phrase. Obviously these people aren't reading liberal magazines, webpages or watching MSNBC. This is something that is constantly celebrated on the left.
Coulter points to Teddy Kennedy's 1965 immigration reforms as the turning point in American immigration policy and says the entire reform package was about changing the face and demographics of America, all with an eye to helping the Democrats gain voters from third world countries.
"It's the culture of America that is being changed," she said. "It's the most successful culture on earth and particularly for women, children, plants and animals, minorities have never been treated with such respect."
Coulter says as America changes, egged on by the new doctrine of multiculturalism, how those groups are treated will change as well.
