Sabo, the street artist whose brilliant skewering of Progressive celebs, politicians, and corporations has made him a sort of folk hero among conservatives, had his Facebook page deemed "hate speech" and shut down on Sunday, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
By a strange coincidence, this action came just days after Sabo created posters attacking the idea of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg running for president. "F*ck Zuck 2020," they read, the "U" after "F" styled as a middle finger. The posters appeared overnight last Friday in various California cities.
Sabo received a message at his Unsavory Agents fan page reading, "Your page has been unpublished for using hate speech."
Facebook didn't specify what on Sabo's page constituted "hate speech," but he naturally assumes it was in retaliation for his posters attacking Zuckerberg. Facebook may also have been displeased by recent posters mocking the Black Lives Matter movement. Those were made to look like a movie poster for War for the Planet of the Apes, featuring the image of an armed ape on horseback with the text, "BLM: Kill Whitey."
Sabo has also created street art hilariously disparaging Hillary Clinton, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lena Dunham, Cher and progressive sacred cows like climate change and transgender issues. More recently he posted fake ads and posters, some as large as 30 square feet, near Google and YouTube offices in Venice, California, ridiculing Google as a place hostile to diversity of opinion.
But this latest poster campaign seems to have hit too close to home with Progressive zealot Zuckerberg.
"It took a week, but it finally came down," Sabo told THR. "Zuckerberg isn't only a thief, he's thin-skinned."
