Bias and double standards among NBC talking heads is hardly news, particularly when it comes to matters of race and personal politics.
Conservatives are consistently painted as “racists” for even the mere thought of criticizing one of President Obama’s policies, yet leftists never seem to have a problem slandering black Americans whose political views are not in lock-step with theirs as “Uncle Toms” or worse, labeling them with any epithet that includes the word “negro” (“house negro,” “safe negro,” etc.).
Being the consummate professionals that they are, the folks at MSNBC doubled down on their sister-network’s abysmal GOP debate performance by airing a panel discussion about presidential candidate Ben Carson. Right on cue, the segment devolved into the topic of race over substance.
Panelist O’Brien Murray credited Dr. Carson for assailing Obama on substantive political issues like Obamacare, which apparently the GOP candidate can "get away with" because he is a "black man attacking a black president." Political strategists L. Joy Williams agreed, ultimately calling the neurosurgeon a “safe negro.”
According to Williams people support Carson because he is, in essence, an attack-dog they can hide behind without being labeled a bigot.
"Oh, there’s another black man commenting negatively against the president," Williams stated. "I don’t feel comfortable doing so because of the race factor, so here’s someone that can do it."
Murray disagreed at least in part, saying that Carson's "fantastic" bio also helps.
Williams took it one step further, adding the bullet-point "safe negro" to the doctor's already "fantastic" bio.
The condescention knows no bounds, nor does the blatant hypocrisy of the Left, which in one breath is quick clamor for a "color blind society" while at the same time exploiting race to suit its political agenda.
