Reid: Donald Trump GOP's 'Frankenstein'

IT'S ALIVE!

It's alive, and it's Donald Trump! Senate minority leader Harry Reid took to the floor Wednesday to rebuke presidential candidate Donald Trump's win on "Super Tuesday" by calling him the Republican party's "Frankenstein."

"Republicans have spent the past eight years stoking the fires of resentment and hatred, building Trump piece by piece," Reid said. "They spent eight years laying the groundwork for the rise of Donald Trump. Donald Trump is the ultimate fulfillment of the Republican Party's legacy of obstruction and resentment."

Reid also said the Republican establishment should not be acting surprised by "Donald Trump and his victories around the country."

"They feign outrage that a demagogue spewing bile... is somehow winning in a party that has spent years telling immigrants they are not welcome in America," Reid said, labeling Trump the "standard bearer for the Republican Party."

"Republicans created him by spending seven years appealing to some of the darkest forces in America. Now it's up to the Republicans to try to undo what they've done by denouncing Donald Trump. It's time for Republicans to stop the Frankenstein they've created," he continued.

"Frankenstein" is actually the name of the doctor. The correct name would be "Frankenstein's Monster." Know your literature, Harry Reid.
