At the RedState Gathering on Saturday, Ted Cruz delivered a fiery speech to a crowd of enthusiastic supporters chanting his name. Cruz spent a good portion of the speech on offense against President Obama, and made one particularly memorable statement that went viral quickly on Twitter.

"If President Obama doesn't like the rhetoric that he should stop being the world's leading global financier of radical Islamic terrorism,' says Cruz, "then he should stop financing radical Islamic terrorism!"

The crowd during Cruz's speech was easily the most active and fired up of the conference so far, with audience members shouting back praise and "amens" to the Senator throughout, and rising to their feet many times. Afterward, he walked down into the crowd where he was received like a rock star.

Cruz's statement is the second news story to come out of the annual RedState Gathering on Saturday, following the controversial booting of Donald Trump from the lineup for his remarks about Megyn Kelly.
