The Environmental Protection Agency "accidentally" dumped millions of metal contaminants into the river systems of Colorado and neighboring states this month turning them a nice biohazard orange when they misjudged the amount of pressure built up inside the Gold King mine while trying to add a pipe so they could treat the infested water. But according to Politco's resident Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist Matt Wuerker, it's really the Tea Party's fault.
Here is his latest:

Notice the distinct yellow "Don't tread on me" t-shirt? Blaming a group that is pro-small government for the EPA's disastrous mishandling of polluted water is a really tough sell even for a leftist!
But as Michelle Malkin pointed out on Twitter, Wuerker is a special case. She found his bio that includes a maxim he claims "is one of the wisest things ever said." That is:
If you're not confused, you're just not thinking clearly.
Clearly, he is confused. An astute commenter on this story at Progressive's Today easily exposed that fact. Alanstorm wrote, "Did Mr. Wuerker not notice that the river was blue until the EPA got involved?" Leave it to those non-Pulitzer Prize winners to make reasonable observations.
Wuerker's bio also states that he lives in Washington, D.C. between the National Zoo and the Swiss Embassy. "Depending how bad things get, he hopes to find asylum in one or the other," it says.
