Jeremy Clarkson, the host of the worldwide hit show, Top Gear, had some choice words for Morgan in an Op-Ed he penned for the Sunday Times entitled ‘Cheer Up, Piers. You can always get a job as my punch bag.” The scathing piece shreds Morgan in a way that only liberal columnists from the Daily Kos know how to do. The second sentence of the piece says

“Piers Morgan’s lost yet another job. He really is down this time. So why not fire up the laptop and kick him a bit?”

He talks about the bad personal history he has with “the ghastly little weasel” Piers stemming from the time Clarkson punched Morgan in the face for insulting his wife. When Morgan hit the floor, Clarkson writes, he stood over Morgan and thought,

“You know what? I don’t think this would ever get boring.” So I punched him again.”

Clarkson even poured water on Morgan’s crotch moments before descending from the final flight of the Concorde where the press was going to be waiting because Piers was “droning about his brilliance” for the entire flight.

The piece then turns to Morgan’s past indiscretions, from begin fired ‘The Mirror,’ where Piers published fake photos of members of the British Army abusing Iraqi prisoners, to be accused of Insider trading, and finally the possibility that Morgan will not return to Britain because the “police might want to talk to him, again, about phone hacking.”

Clarkson understands something that Morgan doesn’t. Everyone hates Piers Morgan.

“And that’s a big problem when you are trying to play the fame game. You can upset some of the people some of the time and survive – thrive even. But if you upset all of the people all of the time, you will fail. And he has.”

And in one last jab to an already downed opponent, Clarks says,

“And I couldn’t help but notice that as the news broke, it stopped raining and the sun came out.”
