Within weeks of the launch of Obamcare in October 1, 2013, President Obama’s approval number dropped below 43% according to Gallup. Four months later, despite his best efforts to rebrand the program, downplay the scandals that plagued him in 2013, and pass the blame for systemic dysfunction on his opponents, the president has been unable to surpass 42%, at times even dipping into the 30s.
According to Gallup, Feb 7-9, Obama’s approval stands at 42% approve, 51% disapprove. Through most of December and January, Obama’s approval cratered at a dismal 39% approve, 53% disapprove. Long gone are the days of 65% approval that rang in the beginning of his historic presidency.
