Obama Calls Iran Deal Opponents 'The Crazies'

Following a two-week vacation in Martha's Vineyard, President Obama headed to Las Vegas yesterday to speak at Senator Harry Reid's (D-NV) green energy summit and, of course, to attend a fundraiser. Obama described himself post-vacation as "refreshed, renewed, recharged — a little feisty."

Politico writes, "Recounting the ride he and Reid had just taken from the conference to the fundraiser in his up-armored presidential limo, where they talked about old times and getting back to Washington to 'deal with the crazies in terms of managing some problems.'"

Obama was referring to the Iran nuclear deal he will try and jam through the Congress in September, once the session begins again.

Fortunately for Obama, he has the assistance of Harry Reid who came out in support of the deal on Sunday.

"Harry’s leadership matters," Obama said earlier at the conference, referring to his support.

In a reflective mood, Obama said he and Reid also spent part of the ride talking about "riding off in the sunset together."

"It's hard for me to express how much I love Harry Reid," Obama said. "Everything I've accomplished I've accomplished because Harry Reid was by my side."

Reid, who sat in the front row of the fundraiser, did his own gushing just a short while earlier, saying of the president, "The best is yet to come."

We all wish the happy couple all the best.
