During remarks defending Obamacare/ripping Republicans Thursday, President Obama took another scripted dig at Fox News and its audience. Fox’s The Five quickly fired back, blasting the insult as being below a President of the United States and mocking him for bashing Fox News “more than ISIS.”

The president once again went out of his way to slam Republicans and Fox News, saying Thursday that the reality of how great Obamacare is is silencing Republicans and proving Fox News' fear mongering wrong:

Obama: There’s a reason fewer Republicans you hear them running around about Obamacare. Because while good affordable health care might seem like a fanged threat to the freedom of the American people on Fox News, it turns out it’s working pretty well in the real world.

The hosts on Fox's The Five had a good laugh at the comment, with Greg Gutfeld starting off the discussion by saying, “He bashes FNC more than ISIS, and we don’t behead anybody,” and adding that the only reason Obama feels compelled to attack Fox is it’s the only network that has the guts “to challenge him”:

Gutfeld: The bigger point here is that if there’s anybody in the media that likes the fact that it’s not them that he’s angry at, you shouldn’t be because that means you’re a wuss. You’re a pliant servant in his harem. The only reason why he’s coming after Fox News is we’re the only network that actually tries to challenge him.  

After Bob Beckel attempted to argue that no Republicans were bringing up Obamacare in their campaigns, co-host Eric Bolling pointed out in amazement that this was actually a scripted comment, not just something said "off the cuff." 

Dana Perino, a former press secretary for George W. Bush, responded by saying that if anyone had brought a draft of a speech to her with an MSNBC insult, she “would’ve been on the ceiling,” adding that Bush would never have read it anyhow.
