The New York Times has declared that “the truth is hard to find,” but that’s probably because they’re spending too much time keeping tabs on Donald Trump’s Twitter account rather than doing any actual journalism.
So far, The Times has documented “The 319 People, Places and Things Donald Trump Has Insulted on Twitter: A Complete List.” And, boy, is it detailed:
Since declaring his candidacy for president in June 2015, Donald Trump has used Twitter to lob insults at presidential candidates, journalists, news organizations, nations, a Neil Young song and even a lectern in the Oval Office. We know this because we’ve read, tagged and quoted them all. Below, a directory of sorts, with links to the original tweets. Insults within the last 60 days are highlighted.
Jasmine C. Lee and Kevin Quealy are in charge of keeping the list updated, “because, well, he keeps insulting people.”
Of course, all one has to do is go to Trump’s Twitter account and read them all for yourself. But no one does. Only those with nothing better to do, and obviously, the Gray Lady has NOTHING better to do.
“The truth is more important now than ever.” Where else are we going to find cutting-edge news that’s fit to print?
