NBC has picked up a "space travel" reality series from Mark Burnett and Richard Branson called Space Race. The show is about people competing for an opportunity to go into space on one of Branson's spaceships. The new series will be done on Branson's Virgin Galactic SpaceShipTwo. Training for the show will take place in Virgin Galactic's home in Spaceport America located in New Mexico.

The first flight of the commerical spaceship is filled with "celebrity" travelers like "Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. (Winslet won a seat on the flight as a thank you from Branson, after Winslet saved his mother from a burning building on Branson's private island."
