On Thursday, Vice President Mike Pence tweeted a photo of a healthcare reform meeting with the House Freedom Caucus and because there isn’t a single woman in the frame, the Left cried, “Patriarchy!”
“Their gripe? The photo featured no women, even though lawmakers were discussing Republicans' health reform proposal -- and members of the House Freedom Caucus want to strip a requirement that health insurance plans cover essential benefits, including coverage for maternity services,” CNN reported.
Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) mocked the photo on Twitter, writing, “A rare look inside the GOP’s women’s health caucus.”
However, CNN noted that the administration’s multiple health reform meetings did include women and pointed to the president’s social media director, Dan Scavino, who posted a photo from another meeting showing women in attendance:
But that wasn’t enough to quell the mockery:
HA!
