Since the beginning of January, more than 100 Jewish community centers (JCCs) across the U.S. and aboard have received bomb threats. For some reason, until now, authorities seem unable to pinpoint the origins of these threats, but law enforcement officials are now reporting that many of the threatening phone calls originated overseas. CNN adds: 

The FBI said the bureau and the Justice Department's Civil Rights division are "investigating possible civil rights violations in connection with threats to Jewish Community Centers across the country."

But details on that investigation have been scarce, and it's difficult to know the extent of these threats. Are they all connected? Is this all the work of just one person, or more?

Paul Goldenberg, national director of the Secure Community Network, which advises Jewish organizations on security, said the calls are "unprecedented" for their methodical approach and their sophisticated use of voice-masking technology.

JTA News, a Jewish news service, posted audio of one of the bomb threats. In it, a disguised voice warns that a C-4 bomb has been placed in the JCC and that "a large number of Jews are going to be slaughtered."

Thus far the threats, which began on January 9 and have occurred in waves through to at least this past Monday, now total 100. On Monday, 31 threats were called into 23 JCCs and schools. The treats have targeted 81 locations, including 33 states, two Canadian provinces, and the U.K.

While we've yet to determine the origins of these threats, their nature and timing seem oddly convenient, given the Left's routine attempts to paint Trump's America as a place where white supremacists are given credence and safe harbor. That the threats were placed from overseas certainly casts serious doubt on the preferred Left-wing theory. 

Make no mistake, terrorism isn't relegated only to acts that are fulfilled. The consistency with which the worldwide Jewish community is being targeted is meant to incite terror and disrupt people's normal, daily routines. 

Parents have thus far pulled their children from JCCs around the country and many Jewish institutions and synagogues are, likewise, being guarded around the clock by law enforcement. This is America. Living under such threat is not meant to be a way of life for us.

Now, as we try to figure out who is behind this spate of threats, let's ask ourselves -- which group is truly desirous that we live in a constant state of fear? Which group hates Jews vehemently? And, who would place calls from overseas? Redneck, white supremacist-Trump supporters? Methinks not.
