Kathy Griffin 'No Longer Sorry' About Bloody Trump Pic, Outrage was 'BS'

“These Trump fans, they’re hardcore.”

Kathy Griffin is back, but gone are the tears and the apologies that she went “way too far” when holding up a bloody, decapitated effigy of President Trump in the name of “comedy.” Now, she’s taking it all back and blaming Trump supporters for blowing it all out of proportion.

On Tuesday, Griffin spoke with Australia’s Seven Network in a live interview about her upcoming comedy show. Poor little Kathy has to leave the country to work, because she can’t play anywhere in America since her tour was canceled among the backlash. Griffin played the “oh, woe is me” card and made it clear she’s sorry not sorry:

“I am no longer sorry, the whole outrage was B.S., the whole thing got so blown out of proportion and I lost everybody. Like, I had Chelsea Clinton tweeting against me. I had friends — Debra Messing from ‘Will and Grace’ — tweeting against me. I mean, I lost everybody. And so, I’ve been through the mill.”

However, Griffin, who is apparently unaware that actions have consequences, said it was Trump supporters who caused her the most grief.

“These Trump fans, they’re hardcore,” she said. “They have, like, robocalls and they’re a minority, but they know how to act like they’re a majority.”

The co-anchor of the Sunrise morning show, Samantha Armytage, pushed back, telling Griffin that Clinton and Messing aren’t Trump supporters and that many “Democrats said it was out of line.”

“Do you not agree that that picture, holding up a severed head — I know it’s a mask covered in tomato sauce — but do you not accept that was a little bit over the line?” Armytage pressed.

“No, you’re full of crap, stop this,” an unrepentant Griffin said. “Stop acting like my little picture is more important than talking about the actual atrocities that the president of the United States is committing.”

Apparently, losing her friendship with CNN’s Anderson Cooper was the last straw. Now, Griffin is clawing her way back into relevancy in hopes that her career really isn’t over.
