Jon Stewart of The Daily Show rarely steps from behind his partisan shield to knock his liberal bedfellows, especially during election season, but the occasions when he does makes for great comedy as was exemplified by his slam of Hillary Clinton and MSNBC last night.

Shortly after mocking Brit Hume for blaming Chris Christie's recent vilification on the "feminizing of America", Stewart pointed his attention to the recent article in Politico about Hillary Clinton's alleged hit list of friends and enemies. He stated:

Turns out you don't need a dick to be a dick...and you don't see her partisans crying gender politics.

Immediately, Stewart cut to clip on MSNBC where a panel of feminists said the following about the media's attention to Hillary's hit list:

If a [man] has a list of people he is not too keen on...No big deal! If a woman does, then it's a big deal, and it becomes juicy.

The clip cut, and Stewart bemoaned:

Oh, for f*ck sake! Do I hate our news media! Yes, we never talk about a male politician's enemies list.

Stewart immediately played several clips where the news media talked about male politicians' hit lists, ranging from Nixon to the IRS scandal. Stewart said:

Wow! A lot of people have enemies lists and it's kind of news worthy no matter who they are: man or woman.
