Jeb Bush's Son Urges GOP to Back Trump

"It's a bitter pill to swallow, but you know what? You get back up and help the man that won, and make sure we stop Hillary."

The rest of the Bush family may not be voting for Donald Trump come the election in November, but former Florida governor Jeb Bush’s son is urging his fellow Republicans to support their party’s nominee.

Politico reports that Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush, the state GOP’s victory chairman, did not put forth an official endorsement of Trump. But he told a gathering of Texas Republicans to do what is necessary to prevent Hillary Clinton from occupying the White House:

"I know a lot of us in this room had dogs in the fight of the primary, leading up to the race. But you know what? It’s time to put it aside. From Team Bush, it's a bitter pill to swallow, but you know what? You get back up and you help the man that won, and you make sure that we stop Hillary Clinton.”

Neither former president in George's family, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush, has offered up an endorsement of Trump, and neither attended the Republican National Convention last month in Cleveland. Jeb Bush, once the favorite to win the Republican nomination, has remained vocal in his criticism of Trump even after leaving the election.
