On the heels of Donald Trump's momentous victory, world leaders near and far called to issue their well-wishes to the President-elect. Leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran, however, are more concerned with whether the new leader of the free world is going to dismantle their sweet nuclear deal and other benefits they've enjoyed under Democratic administrations. 

Clearly anxiety-riddled over the news of Hillary Clinton's defeat, Iran Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif called on Trump to "implement the nuclear deal,'" Time reports.  

Iranian news agency Tasnim quoted Zarif, who shares a "special relationship" with Secretary of State John Kerry, demanding that the United States hold up its part of the so-called bargain. That's rich coming from a regime that routinely breaks its word, has repeatedly made a fool of the U.S., endangered our citizens abroad, and routinely threatens the extinction of the State of Israel. 

Trump has been one of the most vocal critics of the disastrous Iran-nuclear deal which lavishes funds, loosens sanctions, and ensures the Islamic Republic a path to a nuclear weapon in short order. Among Trump's promises are that he will dismantle Obama's signature treaty and it's clear the Iranians are none too pleased. 

According to Tansim, Zarif said that a U.S. president "should have a correct understanding of realities of the world and our region and face them realistically." Good. Glad that we're all in agreement then, and glad that our President-elect knows how to face the "reality" concerning Islamic extremists.
