Illegal Alien Sentenced Just Two Years for Killing Texas Firefighter, Two Kids

That’s on top of his sentencing for re-entering the U.S. after deportation.

Last year, a Texas firefighter was driving with his two young children when their vehicle was hit head-on by a driver who had fallen asleep at the wheel. All three of them died in the accident. The driver responsible was an illegal alien from Mexico, Margarito Quintero Rosales. On September 29, Rosales was sentenced to two years and the wife and mother of the victims is outraged.

Courtney Hacking was a guest on Fox & Friends this weekend and said the death of her husband and children should’ve garnered more time behind bars for Rosales.

“People think that his crime, that his punishment seem to fit because he was an illegal immigrant,” Hacking said. “For some reason… [some people] feel that he should have some sort of special circumstances and that he should be treated differently because he is an illegal immigrant. But to me, being illegal in this country was a crime on its own so, I don’t understand how he did get only two years.”

Under Texas state law, Rosales received the maximum penalty, which Hacking says she takes “personally.”

Fox News reported that Rosales was already sentenced for two years in a federal court for reentering the country after a deportation.

“Court records show he was charged with that crime after the accident and sentenced last month,” Fox News added.

Making matters even worse, Rosales is serving both terms concurrently and will only be imprisoned another 110 days. That’s an injustice to the memories of Hacking’s husband, Peter who was killed at 36, and Ellie, who was four, and Grayson who was not yet two.
