Hannity's Accuser Has Already Changed Her Story

You might not read this in the mainstream media.

Recently, a guest on a Tulsa Radio program accused Fox News' biggest personality, Sean Hannity, of sexual misconduct. As I mentioned yesterday:

Columnist, attorney, and former Fox News contributor Debbie Schlussel appeared on today’s Pat Campbell Show and accused Fox News Prime Time Host Sean Hannity of the same type of behavior that lead to Bill O’Reilly leaving the beleaguered network earlier this week. Among the allegations, Schlussel claims that while at an appearance in Detroit which they both attended, Hannity invited her back to his hotel room. Schlussel says that after she turned down his advances, she was not invited back on his program. “This kind of stuff is all over the place at Fox News and anything that has to do with Sean Hannity,” Schlussel said.

Liberals reacted with glee over the supposed shortcomings of Hannity. For example, the Daily Beast's headline screamed, "Sean Hannity Accused of Inviting Fox News Guest to His Hotel Room."   However, their euphoria was cut short when his accuser changed her story.

As Rick Moran explained, "Schlussel was interviewed this morning by Lawnewz and said she was never 'sexually harassed' by Hannity, that he invited her back to his hotel, not his hotel room, but that she thought Hannity 'weird' and 'creepy.'" Do you know what I think is weird and creepy? Making an accusation against a man on a radio show and then recanting within 24 hours.

In a letter sent to the Huffington Post, Hannity said Schlussel’s claims were “100 percent false and a complete fabrication," and called her a “serial harasser who has been lying about me for well over a decade.” He also threatened to hire a “team of some of the finest and toughest lawyers in the country" to sue her for her very public accusations.

Prominent conservatives have been ousted from their positions recently over sexual issues. Roger Ailes, the head of the most powerful cable news network, is gone from Fox News, and Bill O’Reilly, the highest-rated cable news personality, is also gone. In light of this trend, Hannity accused Schlussel of being just one part of a larger “coordinated effort afoot to now silence those with conservative views.”

The truth has a way of emerging. Let's hope that this is settled once and for all very quickly.
